Kathmandu – The Seventh Sagarmatha Music Awards 2082 has been announced. According to a press release issued by the organizer, Artha Nepal Pvt. Ltd., applications are now open for the seventh edition of the awards.

With the main slogan “Respecting Nepali Art and Creators, Promoting and Preserving Nepali Culture,” the awards will include songs and music released in the market between Baisakh and Chaitra of 2081 B.S., informed program coordinator Manoj Thapa.

Six editions of the Sagarmatha Music Awards have already been successfully held. In the seventh edition, artists from across the country will be able to participate in various categories, including National, Movie, Modern, Folk Duet, and Pop Modern genres.

According to program head Purushottam Basnet, a Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to Nepali music. In addition, journalists working in the arts field will also be honored. One senior arts journalist will receive the Silver Journalism Award, along with a cash prize.
