KATHMANDU- Nepal’s foreign exchange reserves have crossed the Rs 3.7 trillion mark in the first ten months of the current fiscal year (mid-May).

According to a report published on Tuesday by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the country’s total foreign exchange reserves surged by 38.3 percent, reaching Rs 3,704.55 billion in mid-May 2026, up from Rs 2,677.68 billion at the end of the previous fiscal year in mid-July 2025.

Out of the total reserves, the funds held specifically by Nepal Rastra Bank increased by 36.6 percent, rising from Rs 2,414.64 billion in mid-July 2025 to Rs 3,298.38 billion by mid-May 2026.
