Narayangadh, Oct 13: The Road Division Office, Bharatpur has intensified repair of national highway and rural roads in view of the approaching festivals which witnesses additional vehicular movement.

The road defects were caused by the flood, landslides and rainfall. The Office speeded up the repair to ease the travel.

Information officer at the Office, Krishna Prasad Acharya, told RSS that highways and local roads were being maintained to help ensure safe travel. Although the roads are maintained regularly, the road repair is given more attention this year, he added.

“We aim to create safe atmosphere for travelers,” Acharya added. According to him, various sections such as Narayangadh-Muglin, Narayangadh-Lothar, Bharatapur-Madi, Bharatpur-Meghauli and Nawalpur-Kaligandaki are repaired regularly. Most of these road sections are already maintained.

Acharya argued that the road defects were caused also by the incessant rain and vehicles carrying heavy loads against the bearing capacity of the road.

Emulsion patch and rectifix patch are the methods applied to restore the road.
