Kathmandu, Aug 7: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday dismissed a writ petition filed, challenging the vacancy recruitment process initiated by the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), the National News Agency.
A division bench comprising Justices Mahesh Sharma Paudel and Sunil Kumar Pokharel issued a verdict to this regard.
RSS employees Kumar Abhinav and Dipak Chand had filed the writ petition on July 16 against the RSS Rules and the vacancy announcement, seeking to halt the process through an interim order.
RSS, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Public Service Commission were made defendants in the petition.
The SC summoned the both parties for discussion on Friday, thus finalizing the decision to dismiss the writ and allowing go-ahead to vacancy fulfillment process.
