Kathmandu- Nepal welcomed 71,775 international visitor arrivals (IVAs) in July 2026.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, international tourist arrivals increased by 2.3 per cent in July this year compared to the corresponding month last year.A total of 70,193 international tourists visited Nepal in July 2025.

However, July 2026 arrivals were still 4.2 per cent lower than the pre-pandemic level of 74,883 recorded in July 2019.

A total of 693,379 tourists have visited Nepal so far in 2026.

Of these, 92,573 tourists visited in January, while 105,441 visited in February and 120,516 international visitors entered Nepal in March 2026.

Tourist arrivals then reached 107,934 in April, before declining to 102,626 in May and 91,363 in June.

During the review month, India remained the largest source market, contributing 23,490 visitors or 32.73 per cent of total arrivals.

China followed with 11,099 arrivals (15.46 per cent), while the United States ranked third with 7,754 visitors (10.80 per cent).

Similarly, a total of 4,179 (5.82 per cent) from Bangladesh and 3,773 (5.26 per cent) tourists from United Kingdom visited Nepal in the month of July.

A total of 2,428 visitors from Australia, 1,394 tourists from South Korea, 1,380 tourists from Malaysia, 1,111 tourists from Japan and 991 foreign tourists from Bhutan visited Nepal.

Region-wise, South Asia (SAARC) dominated inbound tourism with 41.5 per cent (29,755 tourists) of total arrivals.

Visitors from other parts of Asia contributed 24.3 per cent (17,424 tourists), while Europe made up 12.9 per cent (9,279 tourists) of the total arrivals.

Tourists from the Americas accounted for 12.3 per cent (8,825 tourists), Oceania contributed 3.6 per cent (2,607 tourists), Middle East contributed 1 per cent (736 tourists) while Africa shared only 0.5 per cent (324 tourists) in the month of July.
