Kathmandu, Aug 2: The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumers’ Protection has seized over 100 suspicious products.
A monitoring team mobilized by the Department confiscated various products being sold via online platform and social networking site. Massage oil, shampoo, tea and various food items were confiscated by the authority.
The Department will now conduct a test whether the items are usable/salable or not. Quality and originality of these items would be tested.
Director general at the Department, Motiram Sapkota, informed that the Department took under control the items in a bid to curb sales and distribution of fake goods.
He also urged everyone to inform the authority once they found any phony products in market.
