Kathmandu- The Inland Revenue Department has opened the online registration portal for the Taxpayer Incentive Prize Program 2026, allowing consumers to register purchase invoices and become eligible for cash prizes under the government’s new taxpayer incentive scheme. The program aims to encourage consumers to demand bills, improve transparency in business transactions, and strengthen tax compliance.

Consumers who purchase goods or services worth more than Rs 100 for personal use and pay in cash must register their purchase invoice details through the portal. Only invoices issued from July 17 onward are eligible.

The department said consumers making payments through QR codes, mobile banking, debit or credit cards, or other digital payment platforms from July 17 onward do not need to register manually, as their transactions will be automatically included in the prize program.
