Birgunj, Aug 1: The District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa decided to withdraw a prohibitory order that had been enforced from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am each day since July 30.
It was decided to lift the restriction on Saturday evening in view of the situation becoming normal, according to Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal.
Following an eight-point agreement reached between the families of the victims of the Golbazar incident in Siraha and the government, the Hindu Society and other Hindu organisations, which had been protesting here, have withdrawn the programmes of protest for the time being.
With this development, normal life in Birgunj is becoming normal, with markets, industries and transport services resuming operations, including in vicinity.
