Sudurpaschim, Aug 1: Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, has directed the minister and security agencies to keep close observation against the activities which would disrupt social harmony in the province.
He asked the security agencies to stay on high alert against the activities that jeopardize security. Preparedness is required also for smooth disaster management. The potential challenges should be coped with in an effective manner, Shah reminded during a meeting with security agencies at his residence on Saturday.
Shah made aware the security agencies on potential risk of the unrest as seen in Sunsari district and said social harmony must be kept intact.
CM Shah was informed that concerned district administration offices were reminded to make public appeal and hold rallies for social harmony. The harmony rallies would be coordinated by the district administration offices, according to CM Shah’s public relations and press advisor, Dambar Bam.
Precaution and preparedness is imperative, CM Shah stressed, adding that smooth and effective security situation helps curb untoward incidents.
Even the political and social issues and disaster impacts were discussed on the occasion.
Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, chief secretary of province government, chief of Sudurpaschim Division of the Nepali Army, chief of Province Police Office, and chief of the Armed Police Force in provinces, among others attended the meeting.
