Jhapa, Sept 24: Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has reiterated the urgency of political transformation as per the sentiment of Gen-Z.
After inspecting party offices of Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) in the district that were torched and destroyed during Gen-Z protest on September 9, he claimed that arson and vandalism on public properties, including Singha Durbar complex and private property across the country was against the demand and aspiration of Gen-Z demonstration.
Similarly, former General Secretary Krishna Sitaula argued political parties should collaborate around democratic principles by maintaining unity within parties in the current situation of the country. He also expressed the belief that mastermind and those involved in the incident of looting, violence and arson across the country against the Gen-Z demand would be exposed.
Likewise, Prem Giri of CPN (UML) and former lawmaker Hari Charan Shiwakoti enquired the NC leaders about party’s further strategy and programmes.
