Kathmandu, Sept 11: The National Human Rights Foundation (HURFON) has demanded peace, security, mutual harmony, law and order in the country at the earliest protecting the democracy and human rights.
The HURFON strongly asked the President, agitating side, the Nepali Army, political parties, civil society and all bodies concerned to respect and ensure democracy and human rights.
A statement issued by HURFON Chairperson Bhawani Prasad Kharel on Thursday demanded fair investigation into the incident of injuries to protestors and security personnel in course of agitation.
The organization sought action against those involved in setting on fire the records and important documents in ministries, court and government offices. Guarantee of peace and security in the country is imperative and taking control of the thousands of prisoners is equally important, it added.
Chairperson Kharel stressed formation of a high-level judicial probe commission.
