Kathmandu, March 4: A five-point agreement was signed between the government and Nepal LP Gas Industry Association leading to the withdrawal of industrialists’ protest programmes. As agreed following the talks in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies today, the price of LP gas would be increased by Rs 12.75 per cylinder. With the agreement in place, the price of per cylinder LP gas is fixed at Rs 1,922.75. Secretary at the Ministry Govinda Bahadur Karki and other government officials held talks with the industrialists to address the issues raised by the industrialists. The hike in the LP gas cylinder includes adjustment to the external and internal transportation costs, and operational and administrative costs, it is stated.
