Kathmandu. The nominations for the 6th Sagarmatha Music Awards 2081 have been announced. In the award organized by Artha Nepal Pvt. Ltd. with the main slogan of ‘Respecting Nepali art and artists, protection and promotion of Nepali culture is our campaign’, the best 5 out of 21 subjects were announced.
According to the announcement issued by the award organizing organization, the best five have been selected based on the decision of the jury and the organizing committee of the award. Mahalaxmi Development Bank and Jyoti Development Bank, Nirmal Batika Academy have sponsored the sixth edition of the award.

Artists in national, movie, pop-modern and folk genres have participated in this award. To make the sixth edition of the Sagarmatha Music Awards special, the program coordinator Manoj Thapa informed that this year it is going to be held abroad. According to him, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia will have different programs in different countries. The 6th Sagarmatha Music Awards 2081 will be held in Thailand, Sagarmatha Music Debate Program in Singapore and Sagarmatha Music Honors Program in Malaysia. Also, artists who have not had time to go abroad after coming to Nepal will be awarded and honored by a special program.

In the 6th Sagarmatha Music Award 2081, a special person who has contributed to the field of Nepali music will be given a Lifetime Achievement Award and a journalist who has been active in color journalism for more than 25 years will be given a Silver Journalism Award, informed Purushottam Basnet, the head of the program. In addition, journalists and artists who use the pen in the field of Nepali art will be honored. The organizing committee of the sixth edition consists of program chief Purushottam Basnet, program coordinator Manoj Thapa, Sanam Kathayat, Usha Subedi, Mukund Basnet and Kushal Khatri is there.
